Helping women help themselves.

HomeSense has been a dedicated supporter of the Canadian Women’s Foundation since 2005. Through donation programs like Shelter from the Storm, HomeSense customers have been able to raise over $4.5 million to help improve the lives of women and girls nationwide. As one of the largest women’s foundations in the world, Canadian Women’s Foundation aims at ending violence against women, moving low-income women out of poverty, and instilling strength and resilience in young girls.

Thank you to all of our valued customers for your generous donations and support towards Shelter from the Storm!

Canadian Women’s Foundation, in partnership with Winners and HomeSense, BMO Financial Group and Rogers Media, raised an incredible $1.5 million during the sixth annual Shelter from the Storm campaign. Funds raised during the month-long campaign will go to more than 400 shelters for abused women across Canada, and violence prevention programs that are breaking the cycle of abuse.

Shelter from the Storm launched at HomeSense with the sale of Shelter from the Storm t-shirts, umbrellas, reusable totes, and triple-milled soap. Customers could also contribute a $2, $5, $10 donation in store.

HomeSense is proud to support Sunshine Foundation: Dreams for Kids. Since the relationship began, customers and associates have helped raise over $3,950,000 for children with severe disabilities and life-threatening illnesses. Ovarian Cancer Canada

Taking big steps towards a cure.

HomeSense is a proud sponsor of Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national organization dedicated to completely overcoming ovarian cancer. In support of the Winners Walk of Hope, HomeSense helped raise over $4.5 million to fund ovarian cancer research, raise public awareness, and offer support to the wonderful women living with this disease. The Winners Walk of Hope also provides a sense of community for these women, and the same can be said for their loving families and friends. Elizabeth Manley, our national spokesperson and Olympic champion, will also be participating in memory of her mother. Join her in supporting Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national organization dedicated to overcoming ovarian cancer through research, education and awareness.

Register for the walk and help us to take steps in overcoming this disease. The walk takes place in over 15 major cities nation wide and if you can’t make a walk, don’t worry. You can still participate when you register as a virtual walker.
